How It Works
Mace pepper spray contains Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), a derivative of various hot pepper plants. Hince the name "pepper spray". OC is not an irritant. It is a non-toxic inflammatory agent. When sprayed in the face of an attacker, it will cause the person's eyes to clamp shut and also create temporary blindness. It swells the mucous membranes, which makes breathing difficult. I also causes causes uncontrollable coughing and choking, plus a painful burning sensation. The effects of OC wears off in about 20 to 30 minutes depending on atmospheric conditions.
Pepper Sprays including Mace and Animal Sprays CANNOT be shipped outside the continental US, which includes Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories. It also cannot be shipped to New York or Massachusetts. Please provide an alternate address.
